Unique Feast of Dorset appoints CEM
8th November 2010
The owners of Dorset’s award winning and unique food festival have appointed Ringwood based event management company, CEM Group, to help take the event to the next level.
Now in its third year and set to take place on 17th and 18th September 2011, the already successful and fairytale food event attracts nearly 10,000 people over two days who are enchanted by the beautiful location – Deans Court – the family home of Sir William Hanham, who personally launched the festival two years ago.
Owner, William Hanham, says: “With the vast array of regional food and drink, artisan products and hands on experiences like bread making, bee-keeping and use of herbs, we have created a magical annual feast for all the five senses. However, to take things to the next stage, we are delighted to have Charlotte Hockey and Anna Wallis on board as their strong foodie background and equal passion can only benefit Feast of Dorset.”
CEM’s projects include bringing major sponsorship to the Dorset Seafood Festival, the marketing of Dorset Food Week as well as owning and organising the UK’s largest regional hospitality trade show, Hotel & Catering Show in Bournemouth – which in turn hosts the UK’s biggest young chef and waiting competitions. CEM Director, Charlotte Hockey, says: “We love Feast of Dorset. No ordinary food festival, it has a magic which makes it the envy of other events. With our foodie event experience and contacts in the food and drink sector, we can help create new opportunities across the board.”
Plans include enhancing the restaurant features, chefs and demonstrations, sponsorship and evening events including the camping offer.
